What I Fight With – A Ketchup With Us Post

Ms Mel and ODNT know that they are the bright spots of everyone’s day, but what about those drastically less awesome aspects of your routine? In 57 words or less, tell us about WHO (or WHAT) you go head to head with every day.

Well, I stole this setup from Braintomahawk in case it’s his and not the lovely ladies’ setup. So, either way, I didn’t come up with this setup, is my point.

Every day, I battle Mr. Sleep. Unless it’s Mrs. Sleep. Either way, the morning conspires with my alarm to get me to wake up. And the morning battles with the evening, because if the morning loses me, the evening is mine – but if the morning gets me, I get home later. The only solace is camaraderie.

  1. You and I are on the same page today, buddy. I’m just finishing up a post about this exact thing. I really liked how you weaves your words. Great post! Thanks for the support. Oh! And that was a great intro to borrow. :D

  2. Nothing screws me up more than a midday nap … which is why I probably haven’t taken one in more than a decade. I wake up sweaty, wondering where I am and why everyone hates me.

Nope. I’ll stick with Hotspur. You either get to indulge your morning person by screwing with your night owl or the other way around.

    YOU CAN’T HAVE IT ALL!!

(stepping off rickety soap box because we have no budget here at KWU) Thanks for linking up, Hotspur. Great stuff.

  3. I am a night owl, always have been, always will be. It’s quite normal for me to stay up well past midnight & then (when I’m working) try to get up around 6 a.m. I have to pay for it every weekend though. Now I’m not working, I just sleep later. It’s harder & harder to make up for lost sleep as you get older. The trick to naps is to not let them last for more than 40 minutes so you don’t get into REM sleep. You get the rest you need but it doesn’t interfere with your sleep cycle. Just call me a fountain of knowledge.

  4. I can’t get the balance right either. I WANT to be a night owl for its quiet moments. I love being an early bird for the same reasons. My problem is they don’t take turns. I stay up too late then morning comes to fast. Add in the 3:00 ping of open, wide awake eyes and I’m just insane! Fun.
