This week, I have a song I wrote for my wife, and played. I was going to record myself playing and singing it, but… no. I recorded myself just singing it, but without music it seems off. Anyway, here it is.
Without A Word
I can still taste your smile
On my lips
I can still feel your skin
On my fingertips
I can still make you scream
With a single touch
But girl, you can make me sing
About us
I can’t stop thinking about you
You’re always on my mind
You’re always in my head
Making me want to go back to bed
I can’t stop thinking about you
What you do to me
And I just wanted to thank you
Nonverbally
I can still see that look
In your eyes
I can still feel that tingling
Deep inside
I can still smell your perfume
On my chest
But girl, you can make me think
Of being undressed
I can’t stop thinking about you
You’re always on my mind
You’re always in my head
Your eyes keep pulling me back to bed
I can’t stop thinking about you
What you do to me
And I just wanted to thank you
Nonverbally
I can still see your face
You know what I mean
I can still close my eyes
Live in a dream
I can still hold you close
It feels so right
But girl, I can’t stop thinking
About last night
No I can’t stop
Thinking about you
No I can’t stop
I can’t stop thinking about you
You’re always on my mind
You’re always in my head
Making me want to go back to bed
I can’t stop thinking about you
What you do to me
And I just wanted to thank you
Nonverbally
Edward Hotspur

Nice! I commented on your blog.
Mrs. Awesomesauce is a very lucky woman, and you are a lucky man…..beautiful, once again. My poem can only mirror your relationship.
Your poem was really good. I’m hoping to sing this over music soon.
Thank you. I saw your comment about singing your song and I think SO many people would love to hear it – I’ll put myself near the top of that list. You are an inspiring writer, and more than that, an inspiring person.
Thank you for saying so.
You’re welcome. It’s easy to tell the truth.
Did you get my link last night?
Oh sorry, I just realized it’s not 8am yet you’ll probably add it later lol Love the song!
Yes, I got yours in early. Thank you!
Yeah I was up so early, I thought it was later when I inquired, sorry lol Thanks!
Where do you live? Cause I’m in Eastern Time
I’m near Boston, so Eastern time too.
Eastern Standard Tribe! (Cory Doctorow)
lol yeah!
More like rev-up Monday to me. That picture, I love. I love that kind of situation.
Good words, too, HOTSPURrrrrr
Thank you. I like the ring in the picture.
Why, you smart-arse – you know very well I hadn’t noticed the ring! I actually had to click on your post to second-look, see what you meant.
Yeah, yeah Edward, nice ring…
(fuck you make me laugh, line upon time
)
HA HA! But that’s what I liked – I’m assuming that they are a married couple about to… tango.
Happy Romantic Monday all! Here’s my entry for today!

Thanks. Sorry but I can’t access WordPress from work anymore, and on my phone I have to type stuff manually – for example ” – and that’s just to get the text to be black. That’s why I haven’t been linking in the post until later, after I get home.
I know, you don’t have access anymore. no problemo, if people want to read my dumb poem, they can just click my short link. No worries! Happy RM Edward.
Please, lady! Your poem was amazing and sweet!

There seems to be an lot of “bedding” in this post. You must have gotten lucky the night before you wrote it.
Don’t know if mine qualifies, but it’s the 2nd part of the post I wrote for your birthday with was a Romantic Interlude. Take a look & decide for yourself: http://benzeknees.wordpress.com/2013/01/14/eh-birthday-romantic-interlude-part-deux/
Loved it! And I can’t wait to see more.
Thanks for the bedding comment.

Now please do not use that color green for my link ever again, Ed… it looks like Kermit the frog’s vomit. If it was blinking, I would have had convulsions, some kind of a seizure.
It’s a manly green!
Okay… fine…
What a great song! Your wife is a lucky woman! Thank you for sharing, and thank you for reading as well! (Did I pingback right..? I’ve never done that before..Hum) ~J
…Oh, and Thank you VERY much for the mention above! What an honor! And you put me, thinkspeaktryst, in hot pink! My fav color!! Muchos Gracias!! ~J
Somehow I knew that! You’re welcome.
Thank you! I’m the lucky one. A pingback is when you link to someone’s post or blog – that person gets a notification. So yes, you did it right!
Wow. Go me for the ping! (and thank you Hasty, of course!!) And I have restrained myself from making thinkspeaktryst ‘too-pink’ because I really dont have a favorite color, I don’t descriminate, I love them all… but hot pink is my signature color, for sure, so good job!
Try a background with some hot pink in it. Like… This?

I just checked out the link! L.O.V.E the hot pink room! It’s fabulous!! I have it saved so I can use it in the future! I just recently updated Tryst and I like what I have going on for now.. But I will use the hot pink room, Hotspur, you’re the best! Gracias! ~J
You are welcome. Enjoy
