Trifectra has two challenges each week – usually, they are one during the week with 333 words, and one during the weekend with 33 words they call Trifextra. The Trifextra challenge this time is:
This weekend we are challenging you to write 33 of your own words to build upon the following:
On the count of three…You can choose to include those words if you want, but they do not count toward the 33 words of your own.
On the count of three
We will surface for air
Charging mightily
Into the wide open skies
Watching the sun
During our time aloft
Then sinking back
Into our homes
In the vast and open sea
Endlessly repeating

Update:
Hey, what do you know! I finished third for the week with this entry! Cool, right? So link to the other two and spread the love. Here’s what they said:
Nice work, Trifectans, adding to the 33 words that were given to you. First place this weekend goes to former Trifecta editor, David at Puffery & Taradiddle for his piece, Anti-Climax. Pillow talk does nothing for the ladies at the helm of Trifecta. Literary references, however, make us swoon.
“On the count of three!” she cried.
I’ll be honest, it surprised me. I’m no Lothario, but I’ve had my share of pillow talk. Being ‘counted in’, though, was certainly a first.
And it quite spoiled the moment.Coming in second was Whimsygizmo for her piece, On the count of three…(Ro.Sham.Bo.) Read it out loud for maximum enjoyment. It’s pretty incredible what she’s done here.
Rounding out the top three is Edward Hotspur whose beautiful descriptions about knocked us off our feet.
Thanks again to Trifecta.

Nice. i like it. I’ve never heard of Trifecta before. Not hard to tell I have no idea what I’m doing and have no business being on the interweb beyond shopping on the Amazon. Right? Do you regularly participate in these? I don’t remember you posting any Trifecta challenges before.
I participate in the 33-word version irregularly – maybe once ever month, or three weeks, or something, when reminded by someone’s post in my feed. I’ve done the 333 word version a couple of times. It’s pretty good for introducing you to new blogs.
Very cool, I found a few on their list that look like something I should check out. Thanks!
You’re welcome. There are always a few, everywhere.
How right you are. I wish I could spend all day doing this. Reading, writing, pointing, clicking, etc….oh wait, I DO do that. I just don’t get paid for it. My real job just allows me to have a parallel blog universe that coincides with it.
I’d love to be my own boss. But, money.
Being your own boss is over rated. I did that for quite a few years. I spent my whole day yelling at myself. People thought I was some kind of freak.
LOL! Get to work, me! You’re not the boss of me!
That’s quite a story in 33 words.
Thanks. I guess less is more.
Oooo I like this. I can see dolphins jumping when I read it
Or Cthulhu’s spawn.
You can say more with less…
I can also say less with less.
Sometimes you do that too.
Yup. <—— See?
Now say less with more.
I do that all the time.
I wasn’t going to say that… but…yeah…you do…sometimes…
Admittedly, I saw dolphins, too. However, if you want to strap your Lovecraft on, by all means, let the rejoicing commence.
Either one. I’m not sushi.
They are putting on a sunset show, eh?
Could be a sunrise. Depends on what they are.
It’s like…a double rainbow, man!
Seriously, I liked it. Very you.
Me is good?
There was a huge rainbow one morning last week or so. I took lots of pictures of it. I just haven’t put them up.
That’s so ethereal and dreamy … great entry!
Thank you Karen! It was fun to write.
Hooray, I came in third!
